South Lyon Community Schools rank among the highest in Michigan. The South Lyon School District is composed of several early childhood preschool programs, eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools.

Elementary Schools:Bartlett Elementary, Brummer Elementary, Dolsen Elementary, Hardy Elementary, Kent Lake Elementary, Pearson Elementary, Salem Elementary, Sayre Elementary.

Middle Schools: Centennial Middle School, Millennium Middle School.
