Birmingham Public Schools rank among the highest in Michigan. The Birmingham School district is composed of eight elementary schools, one 3-8th grade school, two middle schools, and two high schools and one alternative high school; all are nationally recognized for academic excellence.
Each elementary school hosts a half-day preschool program and the district also runs a preschool program.
The district provides public school services to the villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, and Franklin; and municipalities of Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Southfield, Troy and West Bloomfield Township.
